BAGFAS, Bandirma Chemical Fertilizer Plants, is the first and only integrated chemical fertilizer manufacturer in Turkey. The two main chemical raw materials, sulphur and phosphate, are processed into various chemical fertilizers.

Sulphuric Acid Manufacture Plant
The factory is Turkey’s only sulphure based processing facility and produce sulphuric acid by double absorption contact process which is the most advanced sulphur processing method known all around the world. Manufacturing capacity of the plant is 1650 tons daily and 550.000 tons yearly on single production line. The plant has been established with Lurgi/Basf licence and is among the first five producers in the world.

Phosphoric Acid Plant
Hemihydrate reaction and dehydrate filtration technologies, named as NISSAN H. Project, have been applied in BAGFAS Phosphoric Acid Plant. Production capacity is 440 tons per day, and 150.000 tons per year. Gypsum, which is used as chemical cleaning agent and soil conditioner, is the by-product of the manufacturing process.
